Offline Mode

NuSaaS POS works even without an internet connection.

How It Works

When you lose internet connectivity, NuSaaS automatically switches to offline mode:

  1. Sales are stored locally on your device
  2. When you reconnect, sales sync automatically to the server
  3. No data is lost - everything is queued and uploaded

Viewing Offline Status

Look for the network status indicator in the header. Click it to see detailed information:

  • Green Cloud Icon: Online, all data synced
  • Blue Badge with number: Online, pending sales to sync (click to sync now)
  • Amber WiFi-Off Icon: Offline mode active

Syncing Pending Sales

When you come back online:

  1. Automatic Sync: Sales sync automatically within seconds
  2. Manual Sync: Click the sync badge to force sync
  3. Sync Status: View pending count in the badge

Tips for Offline Use

  • Pre-load Products: Search for products while online to cache them
  • Use Cash/Credit: M-Pesa requires internet
  • Check Pending Count: Ensure all sales sync before closing
  • Keep Till Open: Don't close your till session while offline

Data Safety

Your offline sales are stored securely in your browser's IndexedDB:

  • Data persists even if you close the browser
  • Survives page refreshes
  • Automatically cleaned up after successful sync
