Credit Sales

Credit Sales

Navigate to Sales & Inventory → Credit Sales.

Making a Credit Sale

  1. Add items to cart as normal
  2. Select or create a Customer (required for credit)
  3. Click Payment and select Credit
  4. The sale is recorded with "Pending" payment status

Viewing Outstanding Credit

The Credit Sales page shows:

  • Total outstanding amount
  • List of unpaid/partially paid sales
  • Customer information
  • Sale dates and amounts

Collecting Payment

  1. Find the credit sale in the list
  2. Click Collect Payment
  3. Enter the amount being paid
  4. Select payment method (Cash, M-Pesa, Card, Bank Transfer)
  5. For M-Pesa, enter the phone number
  6. Add reference number if applicable
  7. Confirm collection

Accounting Integration

Credit sales automatically create proper journal entries:

  • Sale: Dr. Accounts Receivable, Cr. Revenue
  • Collection: Dr. Cash/Bank, Cr. Accounts Receivable
